I must remember not to be overly upset with my children all the time. I need to pick and choose my battles. The reason for this... Some day they will have to pick and choose my nursing home!!! It really is common sense if you think about it!

Still don't get it! So far the men at the Super Bowl said to me the following .. Mike - just look for the stars on the field (needless to say, stars appeared later when Madonna came out) Steve - there is this app that lets you draw the line on the field from your phone.

Me- how much do you live mommy? Gaby- ummm ummm a lot of weeks! Seems legit!

I do believe that the best feeling in the world is when your toddler is in that half asleep / half awake mode and they say "can you lay down with me?" Now, it doesn't help when your toddler hasn't brushed his teeth. I'll pass out now.

Sweet Jesus ... what was I thinking? Today I finally got the courage to do this whole "Bikini Wax" thing. I was really really hoping this thing was a fad and it was going to go away, but it didn't. :( After my relaxing message I walked next door (with my husband in tow) and I grew some balls and asked the lady how much the bikini wax was. This will probably be one of my most favorite photos of all time of D... We were dog sitting for our family friends (The Coburns). They moved to Hawaii and their American Bulldog Patchtes had to stay behind for 3 months. Not even kidding, Yaisa Coubrn came TO ALMOST THE DAY in 3 months to get her baby. We grew to love patches!!! For Christmas my sons father gave me a pretty sick set of speakers for my 2001 Expedition. The funniest part is that as a 33 year old woman ... it is rather funny to watch me kick the bass up while I'm driving and then when I get to a stoplight, I'll turn it down as much as I feel necessary as to not disturb any other drivers. I wish that the other YOUNGER drivers were just as considerate. I'll have to post a picture eventually. hahaha ... it is pretty sweet to bass out to some dubstep. :)

The morning of 1/23 I was extremely grouchy ... then with one phone call my entire day changed and my heart fell into my stomach. Grouchy Carly was gone in .5 seconds around noon today. Got one of the worst phone calls. Gaby passed out today at Pre-school during story time. Thank God that he was sitting down when it happened and he did not hit his head. He was unconscious for nearly 5 minutes. We immediately took him to the Pediatrician an they suspect that he had a seizure. Gabriel is doing just fine now, but we have to take him in for an EEG in a few weeks to learn more. The scary part is that the doctor suspects that he has been experiencing this for a while now and may not have though to say anything because he may think it is normal. The test was today (on 2/2, and yes I know I'm behind on the writing) and he did well so now it is a matter of waiting or the results.

I decided to take my mom out on a date and I wasn't sure what to do or where to take her ... I hate it when that happens. The intention to do something nice is there, but the ideas escape me. Ha ... Then it hit me, well sort of. I picked up a Pulse Newspaper from a year ago and the cover shot was of this "uniquely large" drag queen. I read the article and had my idea! Every Sunday at a local restaurant in Virginia Beach called Crocs, there are 2 Bunch sessions. (11 or 2) you are seated among a ton of other patrons. The show started off with a GORGEOUS Drag Queen who came out and had the BEST potty mouth I had ever heard! She was beautiful and tall and had raunchy class! It was fantastic. Needless to say my mother was a bit surprised!!! She didn't know that she was going to a drag show ... and it was her first one! The Drag Queens were fantastic. The dancing and singing was great! School called my work ... here is the convo: Teacher - "Hello, may I speak with D's Mom?" Me (I'm gonna kick his a$$) "Yes, this is she. What did he do?" Teacher - "Oh no, this is a good call. We are moving him up to Pre-Algebra since he is bored in 6th grade math and exceeds our expectations." Me (I need to mentally apologize to D) "That is fantastic, so you're telling me he is NOT in trouble, correct?" Teacher - "Ha Ha, no ma'am, he is NOT in trouble. He's actually has the highest grade in the class." Me (He must not really be my son) "Wow, my mother never got a phone call like that! Thank you!" Teacher - "Well, then maybe he is making it up for the both of you!" Me ... ... uhhh ... ... "Well, thanks for letting me know. Have a good day now." I'm not sure if she was insulting me ... or praising me for raising such a smart young one!

This is the reason we were able to enjoy this day ... I am thankful for equal rights while still respecting diversity. I am happy that things are supposed to be this way, but the ignorance from each race keeps suppressing each cultures... we need to stop it. Yikes ...

Just watch the video ... it is the most Powerful things I've heard in a very very long time. This makes you think about who you are and who has control over you and your views of "Religion."

I've been dog sitting an American Bull Dog for my girlfriend. Her husband has orders to Hawaii ... she is flying in today (well, she will be landing tomorrow) and she is coming to take him to Hawaii. I will be super sad because my family has grown attached to this adorable BIG dog for quite some time now. Tell me this isn't the cutest thing ever! I mean we were able to get him to sit with a pair of glasses on his face! Fantastic! We will miss our Patches but we know his family in Hawaii has missed him. He has been a wonderful temporary addition to our family (I'm sure that if anyone attempted to break in, they sure as hell thought about it twice!!!)

So today my son comes downstairs humming the most familiar tune... "I'm squishing up a baby bumble bee ..... Won't my mommy be so proud of me ....." I love my little bits of nostalgic time ... So I started to sing it with my adorable 4 year old. He stops singing and of course I didn't notice. My husband has to tell me that the baby has stopped singing ... And he does not like it when I sing with him. A little embarrassed, I stop singing and sure enough, he proceeds to sing his little heart out. Maybe my next blog will be about how a 4 year old can hurt your feelings! Haha

I love it when my kids find something interesting that I do. Tonight my oldest comes to me and says that he wants to know about makeup for movies. I'm baffled ... so I do what every mom would do. I dig into my makeup (I do professional makeup for fashion shoots and for weddings) and I get out anything and everything that I can think of. I hand him some Ben Nye makeup. I hand him some of the make up that I picked up at the Halloween store last year! Amazing stuff. Apparetnly he is doing a movie about Vampires and Werwolves... hopefully by the time it comes out it will be something of the past since Zombies, Wearwolves and Vampires are the "IT" thing right now. Let's see how things go. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Those two words should not be in one sentence! EVER... So today was the playoff for the Packers / Giants game to see who was moving on to play the next team for the Super Bowl. Some things that I will need to remember for next time. - Watch the commercials!! So apparently there is a commercial that has a Packers player ... it is Statesfarm. Anyone ever see this commercial? Well, in the commercial the Packers player says "Discount Double Down". I got a phone call in the middle of this game so I missed most of the commercials (and we were fast forwarding thru the rest of them). When my husband realized that the Packers were losing, someone posted this on my FB page. I asked my husband what that meant. Oops ... - Now is not the time to ask all of these questions. During the important game, it is NOT acceptable to ask your husband (who is cheering on the losing team) if the players can see the lines on the field. Pinterest.com (for those of you who do not know) is a digital pinboard (or cork board) for those who like DIY projects, photos, funnies, anything and everything that you can think of. So last night I decided to do a mineral mask from The Body Shop. I wrapped up my hair and added the high bun. Put on my head band. I washed my face and did the toner then added my mineral mask. What else are women to do for the 15 min they wait for the mineral to do it's work, than sit down and read a magazine or catch up on my Pins on Pinterest.com. (ps, I'm totally addicted) Darling hubby comes up stairs, the second he sees me he freezes right in his tracks and low "whoa" comes out of his mouth. The look on his face was one of great confusion. Puzzled, I asked him what was wrong, he stated that I need to warn him before I turn into "Kabuki Carly"! How does he come up with this crap?!?!

I'm gonna do it! Starting today! Today is day 1 (even though we are on day 11). I'll make up for it by posting 11 posts before the end of January! I still have time to catch up! Let's see if I can actually accomplish something! They say that if you do something for 21 days it becomes a habit correct? Get ready for the silly, the sad, the mad and the just plain ... WTF!
